built from inside
the industry.
sndwzrd is an AI assistant for music artists. It is founded by Wesley Thompson (sndwiz / Soundwizzy) — a music engineer and studio owner with more than fifteen years inside the industry, including four years at Counterpoint Studios in downtown Salt Lake City. Studio and tour credits include Post Malone, NBA YoungBoy, Olivia Rodrigo, and a long list of artists at every tier of the business.
The craft is broader than the booth: Anything sound — music production, feature and film edit, field recording, live A1, scores and sound for films, commercials, ads, and spec ads. Traveled with Iron Cowboy alongside LifeSpan Fitness; A1 on those runs and more than a few events. Photos landing when tagged.
Across all those rooms, one thing is consistent: the artists who win have a team. A manager who answers the right email at the right time. An engineer who keeps track of which mix the label heard. A creative director who makes the rollout look intentional. A friend who knows when to say no. That team is the actual product of being a major-label artist. The music is the easy part.
Most independent artists cannot afford that team. They have the talent and the work ethic, but they do not have the operational infrastructure to be taken seriously by the people who could move their career forward. That gap kills more careers than a lack of talent ever has.
sndwzrd exists to close that gap for the artist — and the sister rail (Mind Wizard / SoundMinds / StemPrep) exists for the engineer. Artist dumps become Pro Tools–ready delivery packages. Archive search, voice match, plugin inventory — tools for both sides of the glass. The engineer rail is mid-build; we do not pretend it is finished. The concept is destined for rooms like Counterpoint, not vapor alone.
sndwzrd does not write the music for the artist. It handles the operational work that surrounds the music: release planning, session scheduling, stem and master organization, A&R email, royalty tracking, contact management — and when needed, the dedicated fall guy so the artist never has to be the bad guy.
AI is already great. The question worth answering is whether the artist is. sndwzrd is the part of the answer that has nothing to do with the song.
Who sndwzrd is for
Independent and developing artists, producers, audio engineers, and small management teams. Artists serious enough about their careers to want professional workflow but not yet at the level where they can afford a full team.
